L3830 Sticking Hydro Pedal

Has anybody had the Hydro pedal stick on their tractor? I lubricated everything I can find and it still sticks, the throttle is also getting stiff. I had this tractor for 10 years with about 1200 hours on it and it has always been stored in doors. Everything else it fine with it and it has been and great work horse.

Take a look at all mechanisms linked to the treadle. Not sure if that generation Grand L had digital control for the treadle. If not, then it's going to have a couple mechanisms that connect up, as well as a spring and a damper. Lube it all (some will require oil instead of grease -- a can of spray oil works well). The damper can stick, so pay attention to that too. Can disconnect it to see if it's the cause.

If there is a v plate with roller involved make sure it is all fitting correctly. Centering springs good?

It is a very simple system for both and sometimes it just takes patience for the penetrating oil to get in or the persistence to keep working it until the fluid gets to where the problem is.

I've tried spraying penetrating oil, wd40 etc everywhere that I can see. I have the subframe for the backhoe on it which limits my access. Thanks for the reply's I try some more this weekend. It's just a pain when it shuts off when you get off the seat because it is engaged just enough.

You should have at least one grease zerk on the HST pedal where it rocks back and forth. Get out your light and look under the floorboard to find that one zerk. If you have greased it in 10 years, it may require more than greasing to free it up. The linkage may even have to be taken apart and de-rusted to remove all the corrosion for it to ever work right again.
