While I have had my tractor Kubota for like 2.5 yrs just wandering about something today it's like 24 degrees out and anyways I've pushed snow with it before just today I noticed (I'm a gauge watcher) temperature gauge I have the digital display on my 2005 Kubota L3830 and normally it runs at 4 bars all the time even when I was building a pond in August working it pretty hard and when it's been very cold but today it was running at 3 bars ? Checked antifreeze all good only difference was we have had much of a winter this year in north western PA we got like 2.5 inches last night and I have a back blade also and a FEL but I wanted to run the tractor also just to run it while ground wasn't froze so I just ran in my driveway to pack snow down were supposed to get more so we I have base to plow on anyways that took like 1/2 hour running in medium HST what I'm trying to say is I wasn't working tractor really ar all but when I put it back in garage that's when I noticed it was only on 3bars instead of 4 just feeling anybody out if this is any thing odd tomorrow I'm going to start it up and let it idle for awhile in the garage today when I put it away I had to go out with the family so tommorrow ill check it again I thought maybe the thermostat might be stuck open if it is will it hurt to run it still till spring it's in a fully insulated garage that dies have heat when I'm in it working but it never gets below freezing in the garage ok thanks I'm a real stickler when it comes to my Kubota ok thanks all input welcome thanks

When snowblowing a while back with a BX23, same thing happened. The temperature gauge (analog) would not come up to operating temperature even tho the tractor was WOT and under load. The air temperature wasn't that cold, maybe 20F. To fix this, I got a thin piece of plywood, drilled a bunch of 1 inch holes in it and inserted it in front of the rad. With this the gauge settled at operating temperature, but eventually started to go higher, so out comes the plywood and made a few more holes in it. Now, the gauge pretty well stays at operating temperature, but I must remember to remove the plywood when it warms up outside.

The temp gauge on my L3430 HST would always go back and forth between 3 and 4 bars depending on air temperature and how hard I was working the tractor. To me, this seems normal.
