Kubota L3940 with 3rd function and skid steer FE
Hello gang, my L3940 hit 450 hours the other day and the Service Inspection indicator came on.

I know this happens at major milestones, I didn't think 450 was one of them.

Just checked the Kubota Workshop Manual and there are only a few things to check at 450, so I surprised it would come on for that.

Is the Kubota like my truck where Service Inspection can come on for some other reason that is not obvious. There sure isn't any ODB2 port on the Kubota to connect a computer up to.

Just wondering if I am over thinking or should I do the few checks, grease her up and reset the indicator, have a shot and a beer and call it all good?

Thanks, Mike

I don't own a Kubota but, does yours call for a 50hr service and then 100, 200, 400, etc service intervals? If so the first 400 interval service would be at 450 hrs.

On my L3830 the service Inspection Indicator comes on every 50 hours. I then go to the owner's manual to see what is required. With my L3830 at 450 hours the main thing is greasing. I will be doing my 500 hour service next week.

I didn't remember my L5740 doing this at the start but it now comes on every 10 hours after resetting. I assume it is only a reminder to grease the loader but that seems too obvious. I would have thought it would be got major service items - engine & transmission oil changes etc. I've checked my workshop manual and can 'to find any reset that takes place when you do a manual reset so it appears it is not telling me I missed something.

Pretty much what I've done on my two GL models.
