I bought the tractor used from a older gentleman from TX in 2013. It had 700 hours and was in excellent shape. Me not knowing the maintence history, I changed every fluid and filter on the machine. It currently has 1100 hours. It has the L-M-H and rabbit-turtle function as well along with cruise lever by the L-M-H shifter. I do a lot with the front end loader as well as lots of bush hogging. I live on 25 acres and am currently building a house so I use my pallet forks a lot to move stuff. I only use cruise when bush hogging open fields or going down long roads.
Here's where it gets interesting.... My younger cousin asked to borrow it and said he had a few things to do and that was no problem. He calls an hour later and asks where to get parts from. I ask why, he says a stick lodged up and broke a sensor under the HST pedal. It's the very top sensor closest to the floorboard behind the cover plate. He orders it, $100 bucks later he puts the new one on. I go to get on it, I notice it just wasn't the same. Me being more mechanically inclined, I remove the cover plate and look at the sensor for myself. I remove it, which I notice it was spring loaded in a sense. To reinstall it, the connector part of the sensor has to be installed at 12 o'clock and rotated back to 9 o'clock and then the screws hold it in place there. Nobody has a manual in stock locally and I refuse to bring it in to the dealer. It's probably something fairly simple but without a manual, I'm not sure of what adjustments there are and where the cruise control ties in to it since it's all electronic.
The brakes don't seem to be stuck btw. I've read on here about the brake switch out of adjustment, but that appears fine as well.
Neither do I have any codes on my dash.
Thanks for all inquiries!
