I am looking to move up to a larger cab tractor. Received the following quote for new L4060 Cab HST with 805 loader and 74" 3 pt snowblower w/ hydraulic chute rotation and deflected: $41,000.

I knew tier 4 had added some cost but did not expect price to be that high. That was the lowest price of 3 dealers.

I've been a Kubota guy but i am also considering other makes. i believe Kubota makes a great product, but looking at some other options I'm questioning if it is the best value, for instance I also have a price on a Kioti NX4510 cab HST set up the same way that is over $5,000 less. I actually thought the Kioti quote was high at first, go figure.

For those that have an L4060 (especially) with cab does the above price seem reasonable and has the tractor been worth it to date?

I'm 54 and hoping this will be my "forever tractor" :D so I'm trying to consider all angles.

If the snowblower is $9000.00 then it's what we paid for the tractor and loader last July. We love the tractor. The only thing I would do over would be get the rear defroster right away

No, the snowblower is about $4,200 of the cost I believe. That is actually the lowest price from 5 dealers.

The "worth" of the Grand L compared to other less costly tractors has long been debated and still no consensus; for some it is and others not, only you can answer that.

If I were buying my "forever" tractor I would make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted!

I'm the same age as you and I should probably start thinking about what my forever tractor would look like. That could be an interesting thread.......

I went from a Grand L3130 to a plain L3400- a bit more power, less tractor, but none of the neat features that make a Grand what it is, and while the work the two machines can do is pretty similar (aside from the weight considerations) I do miss having indicators for this and that, road speed, PTO engaged and actual RPM, auto glow plugs, etc. There's something nice about using the Grand series machines everyday that you really only miss when you no longer have them, IMHO.

I disagree. My L3200 is my first tractor & I miss those fancy features. :p I'm considering upgrading to a pimped out cabbed Grand. Possibly going green for something pimped with a cab as well. We'll see what the next year or 2 holds.
