I've had my used L4310 in my possession for just over 100 hours. It's got about 2000 hours on it now. Just recently I noticed a slow oil leak on the lower plastic cover below the steering wheel, just above the floor board. After removing the plastic covers, it looks like I have a slow leak coming from the top of the steering controller. Steering seems to work as normal from I can tell.

After looking at the parts diagrams, all I see is the controller itself (PRICEY!!) and the top oil seal around the steering shaft for around $8.
If I have a leak coming out the top, could it be as simple as that oil seal? Or is there something else that inside the controller forcing fluid out the top?

Anyone rebuild these? I read re-assembly timing can be critical and finicky, but I see no diagrams on what kits to buy or how to do it.

Any help with this?

Probaly the seal and most hydraulic shop can handle the repair.

Do you have to do anything special for removal of the steering controller from the tractor? Do you have to bleed things upon install?
thanks-
