L4330 with BH92

Hello all, I’ve used this site for a resource for quite some time. I decided to sign up so I can ask questions I can’t find threads on.

Anyway, we have a Kubota L4330, we’d like to add a BH92. I can’t find anything clear about whether the current BH92 will mount to the non-current L4330. I’m gathering the BH4999 might be the subframe I’m looking for. I’m also gathering I need extensions because of the cab. I just can’t confirm this.

The dealer here isn’t all that clear on it either. They were pushing us in the direction of a Wallenstein GX720, because they show a clear option for a subframe for our tractor.

Looking for someone who has successfully made this combination, and wondering if there is much to it.

**Also I know it’s not an excavator replacement, but the cost of a mini is not in the cards. This unit will do what we need.

The BH would mount up to the factory subframe and you would need the extensions for the cab, however you might not be able to get the factory subframe. On my L3240 the BH subframe is apparently NLA, I lucked out and was able to buy a NOS from a dealer that was closing down (actually 2!) but that is pretty unusual.

Ok, that was one concern, Kubota had the subframe at one point but no longer makes it … thanks for the reply

I don't, but I'm pretty sure they are different from the larger grand L's.

Have you by chance had a look at the Woods backhoes? They seem to have options for sub frame mounted ones.

I’ve read good things about the woods brand, just not sure they’re available here. I’m in Northern Ontario.
