The
L4350 is one of the models in the L3 series, known for being well-built, long-lasting and relatively trouble-free. With 2450 hours, this one has enough experience that its value depends a lot on how hard or easy a life it's had.
You can tell a lot by looking close. The best of them will have no evidence of oil leaks, no missing guards or covers, no new paint. It's air filters (inner and outer) should be clean, oil filters should be marked with replacement date/hours, wheel lugs all there and tight, 3-point linkage free-turning with original style pins, hydraulic connectors free-working.
It should start easy and run smooth with no knocks, any smoke should clear up right away. The loader curl should effortlessly lift the front of the tractor at idle with nothing on the 3-point hitch.
The
L4350 was offered with three different clutch / pto systems. The dry 2-stage clutch should be in correct adjustment. If it has the EC (Ever Clutch hydraulic shuttle) it should engage forward/reverse smoothly while rolling along with no noises. The model number on the plate indicates the setup.
The L3's were sold 1991-1998 - most of them were sold well before 1998. It's hard to put a value on this one without seeing it (got any pics?) but in top shape with low hours they can bring up to $15k. I looked at one last year with 2k hours that needed clutch work and rubber - I passed on it at $11k.
