That's a nice tractor, Walter. One you're sure to get a lot of work and enjoyment from. I've got one of the last L4300s and really enjoy working it. That 4 cylinder 134 c.i. engine is smooth a silk; anything above 1700RPM and it hums.
They like to be worked. If I just putter around with it, barely getting above idle, it begins to use a little oil. When I run the RPM up and work it, the oil consumption stops. Trouble is, there's so much it'll do just idling, that you're tempted to run it that way....not good.
