Does anyone know where this thing is? I'm losing my mind. Half the time I'm in reverse and don't want to hear the constant beeping.

I've tried to look for it but it's hard to hold the pedal and look at the same time.

Thanks

On my L39 it is under the side step that is just to the left of the seat. You should be able to see it if you look under there from the back of the tractor. Probably easier to get at with the backhoe off.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check there. Did you disconnect yours as well?

Thank you! I found it, and there was a disconnect there to unhook.

For those looking in the future:

On the L45 it is just below the "backhoe brake" (rear brake lever) which is to the left and below the seat when facing forward. To access, flip the metal foot rest (it's where your feet are resting when the seat is backwards for operating the backhoe) the speaker is located just behind a rubber flap. It's very accessible and easy to disconnect.

I wrapped it in electricians tape to keep the connections clean in case there was a need for it in the future.

I ran a toggle switch to mine, that way I only shut it off when working in areas where no one is around and turn it back on if anyone could be in the general area. I have had two incidents where I almost backed over people, one was a curious neighbor who wanted me to level some dirt around their swimming pool "while I was in the area" and another time I was 500' from the road loading mulch and a guy drove right up behind me to ask if I could sell him a half yard.

That is a very good idea. I worry about running things over.

I like the toggle switch idea as well ... although I have to say on my tractror I have just become used to it.

On my JD skid steer, I think it's loud enough to cause hearing loss, if not insanity :( Unfortunately, disconnecting it results in an error code on the panel display. So I use earplugs...

It's not needed here on the farm, the only thing I have to worry about is the dogs and horses and they aren't going to pay any attention to a beeper.

Cut the wires to the beeper and connect them to each other.
