For the last few weeks are so it would take 4/5 sec to move in reverse cold then be good the rest of the day. Then it got to were it would do it hot, Yesterday it wanted to creep before it full engaged in forward and Reverse. I backed it out of the shed today it went about 40 ft and quit pulling ;(... Its like you have the clutch pressed are in neutral all hydraulics work all linkage is connected, it has 78 hr. on it and a year old any ID what it may be... BTW is full of fluid I changed filters at 50 hr.

WAG - the hydrostat pump may be going bad. Sounds like something in the tranny, for sure.

At that time/hours, it is clearly warranty. CALL THE DEALER. Not your problem, other than loss of use...which stinks, of course. Ask for a loaner, perhaps, if it is critical to you?

Pump would be my guess also. I have good relations with the dealer I want to see it when its apart mainly because I want to know how they will handle all the debre from a pump that tore up... I had to move it to the drive so they can load it up. With the engine running it rolled EZ. At 50 hr there was a little more metal in the filter than I was comfortable with. I don't have a issue with the dealer other than there top gun is no longer employed there he was GOOD and a seasoned Mechanic I had took a like'N to him...

Symptoms sound like insufficient pressure from the HST charge pump - could be something simple like the clutch not fully engaging. Or it could be the regulator, a leaky charge relief valve, or maybe a bad pump. At 78 hr the dealer and Kub should stand behind it. HST internal problems have been rare. Sometimes they just replace the unit without finding out exactly which piece has failed.

Did symptoms 1st show after the fluid/filter change? Is there a screen primary filter for the trans in addition to the paper element? ... Sounds like something is clogged - strange.

I hope its as simple as a valve issue if its a pump issue and the pump tore up they are going deeper than just a pump.

I don't remember the issue before the filter change I have put 30 hr. on it since I did the 50 hr. service. I dug a french drain around the house and cleared off a couple acres of land in the past few mounts... I have had the hammer down since April its been all loader work... I have moved allot of dirt, #5 crushed stone and stumps its been tote'N work I had a back hoe and a track hoe that did the dig'N...

It makes NO strange noise other than its always been whin'er...

The HST pump wear plate is held in position by the input shaft needle bearing. This wear plate seals the HST high pressure between the HST pump unit assembly and the valve plate. The needle bearing protrudes out of the valve plate and through the wear plate holding the wear plate in position. The needle bearing has moved out of position and allowed the wear plate to rotate off the locator pin and the HST pumping unit is no longer sealing again the brass wear plate. Suspect you may not find much in the way of metal debris etc.
