Well, you know what one or two days of thinking about a tractor purchase will do to you /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif. Big enough, not big enough, will I be sick because I didn't get what I need, will the wife kill me because I nixed her HST /w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif. Anyway, I kept thinking that $28,950.00 wasn't much difference from what a M-series would cost. We have 125 or so acres and I just felt that the L4610 would not be able to grow into other tasks much besides mowing, blading a 400 foot drive-way, maintaining field roads, and the loader work.

So, I decided to move up to the M6800. It would pull at least a 10 foot bush hog to do the field mowing, and pull a finish mower to do the yard, and river lots{7 acres, and will have to transport the tractor by trailer and truck}. So does this sound like a far price on this tractor, and do the ones who have it like it, or wish they had went up to a M9000? Here, I can use as much horsepower as I can get. 60 acres of open pasture, 5 acre yard to mow. Another 15 acres down the road to keep bush hogged. The rest is in hardwood.
Here is the quote I recieved on the M6800 Hydraulic shift.
M6800HDC
CAB-heat/air
4wd
Side view mirrors on the left and right.
front tire- 14x17.5 R4 industrial
rear tire-16.9x24 R4 industrial
2nd remote with lever
Cab cloth seat with suspension
Rear wiper and washer
rear work lights
am/fm cassette radio
Total 31, 975.

Kubota Loader
Model LA1002-68C
M1047 Quick Attach Bucket
Quick atttach Adapter
Total 5,100.00

At 3590 Land Pride Mower- $2,200 (Dealer says he can't get the rear discharge because they are hard to get, and because of the clumping that they leave behind) He says most want the air tunnel. Anyone have the 3590 rear discharge?
Total Price-39,000 (No tax to be paid)

I look forward to your replies TBN. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

P.S. I think the wife can be taught how to drive this tractor very easlily.

Did you get your M6800? Do you have hydraulic shuttle and do you like it? Does it seem jumpy if you engage the clutch at higher engine RPM?

Dobber, I can't respond to the price but I can say that you are making the right decision to go with the M6800. It will handle eveything you need, the L4610 is too small especially if you decide to start rolling hay. I have about the same about of acres to bush hog and I have a TN75 which compares to the M6800 as far as pto HP. Good luck, I sure wish I could have afforded that cab!.
