Kubota L4740 HST 4wd
First off I searched all posts with keywords and found nothing about this blade on this HP tractor. I just bought a Kubota l4740 hst, the dealer wants to sell me a rear blade, Landpride 84" RBT1584 @320 pounds, for $495, is this a good price but more importantly is this a good enough blade for this tractor. I will be mainly using it for snow removal, and maybe some very light grading.

Don't get it. It's way too light for the tractor.

I m also looking to get a rear blade for my L4740 but would be interested to know from other owners out there what would be the ideal weight.

I am looking at the Buhler 7 feet blade series 30 or 80. One is about 400 lbs and the other 900 lbs..

A landpride 35 series would be a good match for your L 4740 . I have one and it's pretty stout . I use it on a 47 hp . 4x4 tractor , for snow and heavy grading .

I agree about the 35 series, very nice blades. An RBT3596 would be a very good match. If you have some remotes you can get some hydraulic functions to go along with the blade.

Sorry that I can't help you out with any pricing other than they are costly. But you need to remember that when it comes to new implements, almost always you get what you pay for. It really does not do you any good to spend $750 for a blade that you just end up bending. I'm pretty sure that you will need to spend at least a grand and that will not get you a Land Pride 35 series blade, but a fair off brand blade that should work for you.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

i have a bushhog rear balde on my l4400, and would not recommend it. it is a light duty, worthless pile-o-junk. all the bolts have ratteled themselves loose, the paint is falling off anywhere the blade was bent to form the curve of the blade, and due its lightweight, it is worthless in anything but snow

We have a manual 7' Tufline behind a L4310.

Not sure of weight, but it does have two reinforcing ribs behind blade.
