Hi Fellas:
Have a L5450 with the separate PTO Clutch Handle. When the PTO is engaged and the hand clutch lowered it makes a noise like something is slapping while spinning.
While it is engaged, I bring the handle up slightly, but with the PTO still engaged, then the sound will stop. PTO works fine and spins the 6' Hog without a problem.
It would be great if anyone knows what the noise means..... If not, my big question is whether I have to split the tractor to get to this clutch assembly. According to a diagram I found on the net, this assembly is not part of the main Ever Clutch on my tractor. I have attached a copy of the diagram I found.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Regards
Robb
