L5740 vs M6040

Not likely, Kubota canada is separate from the US, only recently did the US made LA series loader show up here. Most dealers still don't use them in the east.

Interesting. I thought the M20 etc. loaders were a new thing here. Not so?

No, the M20 (M30 etc) are the default normal M series Kubota Canada loader made by Quicke. Quicke have been Kubota Canada's M series normal loader for oh, 20 years or more now?

In my opinion, the Quicke's are better built, but they cost a bit more too. The first LA's showed up on M series with the MX5000 (not a real M to be fair) then on the 40 series a few at a time.

I've got an LA on my L series, and I'm happy with it except you can't fix the sloppy bushings. I've got a quicke on my MF, the quicke loader uses steel backed oil impregnated bronze bushings at all pivots. The euro tach is also a lot more common in Canada, although skidsteer q/a stuff is showing up bit by bit.

For the pallets of sod I'd say that the M-series is a better bet for you as you would be pushing the L's loader capacity.
