Any prices floating around on the L5740.

I got two quickie prices, one at 35k, the other at 40k - same set up with cab.

And dealers selling Kubota's at a great price. Last one I bought was at Wilson Kubota, in South Carolina ( I'm in Ca.) but they seem to be long gone.

Wilson tractor is in Newberry SC. The are still around. The sales guy to talk to is Wendell. He is a straight shooter. Have you talked with Steve Carver, Carver equiptment??

WOW, that's news then, I did a search and they didn't come up - I'll try again.

Looked at carver, and this came up...
In essence, it permits a dealer to advertise products over the Internet but does not authorize sells over the Internet. Sales must be to end users (not resellers) and consummated face-to-face at the dealer's store or at the customer's place of business or residence.


Cab is MANDATORY, not a luxury item for me. Temps here in the Desert Southwest reach 126 plus in the summer, heck it was near 100 last week. Also the beach sand I work in you are always in a cloud of dust and can hardly breath when you are working, and lastly, I work around date palm trees, and they have thorns on the leaves that can penetrate a tire like a stiletto knife, a couple of time I turned and darn near lost an eye...

What this I just read that Kubota is forcing face to face deals . no internet tractor sales, can this be right??

For an L5240 w/cab, I was quoted $35.9k. This included 3 remotes, front 3rd function valve, R4's with Rim Guard, all cab options except for radio and side defrosters, loader with QA HD bucket and bolt on cutting edge. That's about 10-11% off of MSRP. I thought it was a fair deal for the New England region.

I was told the only difference between the L5240 and L5740 was that the 57 was HP rated at 2700 rpm and the 52 was at 2600 rpm. Side by side (my dealer had both) the only difference was the logos.

You know I was thinking the same thing in looking at the brochures last night. What is it with 2, 3, 4, HP difference in tractors, cmon will any of know the difference blindfolded, pulling a load - I doubt it.

The horsepower would only be noticed on PTO work as the tractors weigh nearly identical so pulling power unless ballasted different would not be an issue.

Yes, I have a handshake deal with the salesman. We will finalize the details the week of April 9th when he returns from out of town. Now if I can just sell my B2710 in the next week or so.

I'm in the same boat, I was going to do it the prudent way, and sell mine first, but looks like I'm going to do what you did, get the new one then take my time in selling the one I have.

I have a lot of work to do and could sure use that can as soon as possible.

Well, my price just went down by $300 due to the new rebates that started today. The L30 rebate was cut in half to $750, the basic L rebate went to $400 and the L40 rebate went from $0 to $300. Rebates don't apply to 0% financing. It also looks like the financing rates are a bit lower too but I don't have a copy of the previous ones to compare with.
