LA 723 FEL HD Bucket question??

Hello all

I am looking at purchasing a L3130 w/LA723 FEL and HD bucket. My local dealer has a L3130 w/LA513 FEL on his lot. I asked him to price the tractor on the lot but with the LA723. Swapping off should be an easy deal i would think. (of course he wants to sell me the LA513 which is already on the tractor)

after much wrangling he said he had a LA723 in stock and a M1037 HD bucket?? off a L48 tractor?? says it is a 72" staight back bucket with bolt on cutting edge.

i just cant find any info, specs, pricing on that bucket.

Your dealer is trying to get rid of some old? stock. The standard bucket for that loader is the L2263 and does not have a bolt on cutting edge. I would recommend that you get the LA723 with the quick attach option. You can then use all kinds of skid steer attachments. You then have the choice of 66" or 72" buckets, standard or HD. The HD buckets have the bolt on edge as an option but unless you plan to do a lot of digging into abrasive materials you can do without the bolt on edge or add it later. I have the LA723 QA with the 66" HD bucket and I like it very much.

You should go to the Kubota site and look at the impliment chart for the Grand L's.

stopped by the dealer today to locate that bucket...it was indeed a used bucket for a L48. it is quick attch, had a bolt on cutting edge, and looked pretty HD.

You may have found a deal. The swap out from a LA513 to a LA723 means complete removal of the 513 and installation of the LA723. The sub structures are different and may be serialized. Stick to your guns for the LA723, you will be glad you did. Next get a toothbar from Markham Welding, they do great work at reasonable prices.

the problem now is getting him down some. he wants $21,000 for L3130, hydro, LA723 FEL quick attach with the L48 bucket, loaded R4's, and block heater, seems a bit high...

I know there are regional differences but I paid $19,200.00 for a L3130HST , LA723 with quick attach. L2239 HD bucket (66"), R4s loaded, cutting edge and canopy from a Houston dealer. I actually paid more than that but that included the grapple, tree shear and the hydraulic plumbing.
