Having to replace lift cylinder seals. Just need outer and kubota trying to bend me over for 20 dollars worth of seals. Has anyone researched part numbers to get the seals from outside source? They seals don't even come in boxes. Just a baggy. I'm sure kubota just takes them out and sacks them up.

Kubota probably buys the seals just like you do. You'll probably have to remove the seals to get replacements unless you can read the numbers off them. They will be seal numbers not Kubota numbers. You could also take the cylinders to a local hydraulic shop to be rebuilt.

If you are talking about the seals in the rod gland (where the rod slides into and out of the cylinder)....take the cylinder apart....probably have to remove the piston to slide the gland cap off because the rod pins crosstube is likely welded.

Once the gland cap and seals are off, take it to a hydraulic shop

Seals in the cap. I couldn't find numbers on the old ones.

20 bucks seems reasonable to me especially if you are sure that they will fit. Machine downtime while looking for seals is worth more than 15 bucks for me assuming you can get generic seals for 5$

I don't think there is any way around it. bring the old parts in to a local hydraulic shop and hope they don't screw you over for more than 20$

sounds like you already have the cylinder apart. Good Luck

Kubota does NOT make their loader cylinders. They are outsourced. The seal kits are usually provided to that vendor by yet another vendor who supplies both the individual seals used in assembly and the complete kits for later needed repairs. To me, $20 is very reasonable in this day and time.

Agree with you guys. Was hoping someone already fought this battle and saved part numbers. Went to the local hydro shop and dude was pretty rude. He just didn't want my money I guess. Got everything ready to put back in just need 2 gland seals and 2 wipers.

Not to stray off topic and obviously you are underway with the rebuild......but what warranted you taking them apart for the rebuild in the first place
