My LA211 hydraulic block has rear taps for the Woods BH6000 and the lower angled adaptor needed new tape to stop a developed leak. I removed it and re-tapped it with some plumbers tape and reinstalled only to have dislodged the O Rings at the ports of the HST. I removed again and reset them, even the one I lost/found and reinstalled. The angle adaptor seemed snug and, of course, must be orientated in one direction and I was afraid to turn another 360 degrees. Yet it developed its own leak again so off it came. Take the block off, more tape on the angle adaptor, pull out the big crescent to hold the block and snug the angle up an extra turn. Problem solved. Checked the O Rings behind the block and then of all things, the brass bolts turned and tuned until finally the lower one bit in. That was good and I went in half way and then took on the upper bolt but it seemed tight for the first two turns and then went in. Sung them up and I thought I was good until I increased the RPM and noticed a small trickle from the back of the block. Took the torque wrench out as these 8.8 metric need about 10 lbs and the lower 'clicked' fine but the upper turned and turned.
I fear I have stripped it. Is it likely I have stripped the bolt or the tapping's on the HST? I have never tapped anything although I might have a set. Are those bolt holes isolated from the hydraulic fluid paths holes so as to not introduce any metal filings if I should attempt to tap it? I don't have a trailer and have no means to get it to a dealer. I am also in the midsts of trying to sell it. Perhaps I should leave it alone and merely disclose to buyer he/she has to attend to this. The leak is not serious but a slow drip at 2500 not under-load.
