Ok, I've gone through the manual and can find no reference on why my outside hoses came off easily but the middle ones cost me a few knuckles of skin. Now, when I am trying to put the loader back on, the hoses are the exact same way going back on but the blue and red will not connect no matter how careful I am to line them up, checked for any possible obstruction, made sure the top of the receiver would indeed compress, etc. I don't know what else to try other than calling the dealer and say "show me they work." I'm no wimpy man and given the ease of the white and yellow, what's up with the middle hoses? They are the same part # (I checked) but are hooked up the bigger hoses which I am going to assume are the actual "lift lines" where the easy slightly smaller ones are the relief lines.

What gives? I discoeverd that if I keep the tractor back a few inches from the pivot I can now work and cuss with out skinning my knuckles but nothing I do seems to get those lines back on. I'll keep searching the chats and web for others with the same issue but any thoughts?

ps. I'd spell check but since I am trying to keep bloof off the keyboard I'm not too worried today.

Thanks!

Have you moved the control lever in all directions with the engine off? You could have pressure in the lines causing the quick connects to not want to come loose.

I did push it in all directions, more than once. I don't recall if I did that on the disconnect but I will make sure to remember it IF I can get the hoses back on. I had my first free day to get back into clearing some land area as well as haul off numerous brush piles from tree trimming and this really sucks they won't go back on. I thought it might be like my low pressure bcd line for my dive gear (bit touchy on line up) but nothing I do seems to work.

There are some old threads on this and you have to relieve all the pressure by moving the lever around after the engine stops, but if pressure builds up due to heating or is not properly done on dismount you can relieve pressure manually by unscrewing lines, but most do so with a punch on detent balls.

Would the pressure be in the loader itself? I can push in all the connections on the tractor and the female white and yellow connects with out issue on the blue and red males. Which would make sense I suppose I dd not release the pressure properly on removal. If I can connect the white and yellow to the tractor, I wonder if I can release some pressure with the blue and red not on.... maybe I'll give that a try.

I don't quite follow "most do so with a punch on detent balls"

I'll keep working on it... but any suggestoins on digging up the old posts?

To release the pressure in the hose you are trying to connect, put a shop rag over the end of the fitting and bump it against a flat metal surface, or tap it lightly with a wrench or a hammer to push in the tip and relieve the pressure. Hope this helps.

Happened to me more than once. Difference in temperature or simply the weight of the loader when disconnected. Press the male connectors against a clean flat surface to expel the surplus oil and they will connect easily.

I have been out working, what Milkman and Soulisphil said, I believe JOHNTHOMAS actually unscrewed the hoses, but I usually just bump it if needed when someone else has used my tractor. I will try to find some posts.

Mine did this and I was ready to trade tractors. It doesn't take much to get me to trade but this was a sure reason. Then I loosened the hose enough to let a drop of fluid out and they hooked up easy, I mean easy and with the distinct click. I tried the pushing in the ball inside the fitting but couldn't get it to release and I also put severe pressure on it but no deal.
