I have to agree with wushaw here..
Here I am breathing today because my bucket slammed down hard and kept me from going over a bank!
I am a relative newby here, only have 84 hours on my 3400.But with a little practice and patience you will be able to use the bucket gently and smoothly..
After about 30 hours in the seat I learned how to gently move the bucket up, down, dump and curl.. 2 weeks ago I was moving planted flower beds and was able to set them down in holes without packing the dirt at the bottom.
It was funny that my mother in law wanted to move 5 year old flower beds 30 feet. But with a little low RPM work here, and a gentle touch, they almost slid out perfectly in the new spot!
Anyway moral of the story is wushaw is right-
Do it like my old Marine Drill Instructors taught us to drill
Slow and easy, smooth and cool-- that is almost eerie, I can almost hear Sgt P calling cadence...
But alas that's another story...
Later,
Jim
