L4200GST w/ LA680 & BX2200D w/ LA211
Hello.

I discovered that my recently-purchased L4200 is missing the (evidently) removable legs that hold up the LA680 loader frame (used the wrong number in a previous post on the topic - duh) when removed from the tractor. I can make new legs in no time, provided I can figure out what I need and where they attach. I can't find anything that looks like a mounting point on the loader arms, at least not in the general vicinity of where the newer quick-release loader pinned legs attach. I did find what looks like slip-fit brackets on the sides of the bucket, but mounting there doesn't seem to make sense.

I have had no luck finding a picture of an LA680 that shows the legs, much less one that shows them in use. I had a line on a link for an on-line manual, but it no longer valid. If one of you LA680 owners has a picture of your loader w/ legs attached, please post it (or PM). If not a picture, then perhaps a good description of exactly where/how they attach and how long they are? Any relavant information is appreciated. I'll be forever grateful.

thanks - Jay

Thanks for the link. I could surely use a manual. While the manual likely has a couple of relavant pictures (though you never know), a user-pic wouldn't hurt and I could definately still use a leg-length measurement.

Stopped by dealer today. Asked if he had a LA680 or LA681 . He did not. But did suggest you go to a local dealer. Measure a LA723, Then make arms and brackets that match. Loaders are similar. Just that LA723 is heavier duty.
I did a search for LA680 & LA681 on TBN. Got several hits of owners. KennyV is one. He has some pictures. But none show the arms. You may want to try PMing him.

Hello Jay…
Sorry I have not been back to TBN in quite a while… My landing legs are around somewhere … not sure where.
They attach to the loader (In The Square Hole)… just under the point that the boom cylinder rod mounts to the loader frame. That square hole keeps the leg from rotating.
I have not used mine as I put a quick-tach on the bucket, and just leave the loader mounted. I also went with very wide rims & oversized turf tires all around and I’m not sure the landing legs would clear my front tires anymore… I will look around and if I find them I will send you pictures and measurements. If I don’t find them I might need measurements myself if I would ever want to remove the loader…? In the meantime this is a page from the WSM that may help… If you have a cab like mine your valve will be the remote… If you don’t have a cab it will be the standard valve… KennyV.

Thanks Kenny - I appreciate your efforts. I just KNEW that the support legs were a completely different setup that used on the current loaders.
