None -yet. Until then FunBuggy (EZ-Go) will have to do!
It's Labor Day again, and at least for those of us in the this part of the midwest, it means it's time for the Thresheree! Here's a newspaper article from the local paper Thresheree that describes a little bit about it.

If you happen to be anywhere near here, you should make it a point to stop by. My weekend is pretty full already, but if I have the time, I'm going to try to get out there for a little while. And if I do, I'll take some pics to show you what it's all about. Mmmm, can already taste that corn on the cob! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Maybe I'll get a little luckier than last year, and get some good shots of some tractor seats! Right Bob? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I would but they won't let me. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It doesn't have a PTO, 3 pt hitch, or run on steam! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

But I countered with... "But it DOES have 4 cup holders"!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Didn't work. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Morning! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hope everyone had a pleasant Labor Day weekend. Weather in our neck of the woods was just great! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Turned off the A/C in the house (but kept those fans going! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif) and was able to play 2 rounds of golf. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Unfortunately, I was not able to get out to the Thresheree during the weekend to snap any pictures. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

This was the last weekend my son was home before leaving for boot camp. After getting married last weekend, we wanted to spend as much time with him and our new daughter-in-law as we could. So between sneaking in the golf, going to dinners with other family members, and helping the wife out with the parade of homes house she's decorating, just couldn't fit it in.

We dropped our son at the recuiter's office yesterday at 2:30 p.m., and then I took my daughter-in-law to Chicago to catch a flight back home with her parents. Traffic on the interstate was absolutely horrible. It took us 1 hour and 15 minutes to travel about 30 miles! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Needless to say, we got to the airport too late for her to catch her flight. Luckily they were able to get her on another flight within 1 hour, so by the time we went to the other terminal, got her checked in, and I walked her to the gate area, she only had about a 20 minute wait before boarding.

So, it was a hectic weekend. Sorry I wasn't able to get any pictures this year. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Sorry to hear you missed the Thresheree this year Garry. There's always next year. More important though is you had quality time to spend with family and friends and sometimes these opportunbities never come around again. Someone once told me that there's only one thing one can take with them when they leave this life.....that's the good memories generated over a lifetime with those that are near and dear. Sounds like you cultivated those memories a bit the last few days. Anyway.....glad you enjoyed the weekend.

Just wondering how many here have had the joy of stooking the grain bundles, Going around with the horses and hayrack loading them up with a pitch fork, crawling to the top of the load and driving in to the threshing machine where you you got to unload them into the feeder and watch the big cannon shoot the straw into a pile.

After a day of that no worries about calorie intake.

Thanks Frank! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

They're young and have a lot to learn, but they seem to have a pretty good idea of where they're heading. Some hard work and a little bit of luck will see them through! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Boy, you've got that right Egon! Just watching those guys doing all of that has convinced me that I'd never want to have to do that kind of work. But I can imagine that there's a great feeling of satisfaction at the end of the day. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
