Dunno about here but it has been posted inalmost every other forum on the 'net that is even remotely connected with firewood.

That is a neat idea - never seen that before. Probably work good for fir & tamarack. Ponderosa pine, on the other hand, can be hard to split with a hydraulic splitter.

I found the easiest way to split firewood is to hire a local teen to do it!
