Land Pride Blade RBT 4084

I just purchased a Land Pride RBT 4084 blade for my 49 horse Challenger/Massey. The blade is a couple whiskers short of 700 pounds. The spec's call for a 60 horse plus tractor. It has three rams, I have two spools. The Land Pride website has a option to split one of my spools two ways. This blade is truely like new/ used two times.

My question is...............Is this to much blade for my tractor? I'm running a Schulte 7400 snowblower at about the same weight and the tractor feels fine/balanced with the FEL?

You guys are the greatest.

Thanks, Ken and family. Reno NV.

I would say no. I have a 40 Hp Kubota and am looking for a 7 or 8 foot blade in the 1000Lb range.

That blade will be perfect for your tractor. It is a good size and you will not have to worry about bending it. When they rate these implements, the rating is typically not to be exceeded. The weight that I have for your blade in my brochure is 798lbs and rated for 100hp 2 wheel drive. When I bought my Land Pride RBT45108, I got it because it was rated for my gross weight, I didn't even worry about HP rating.

Something that you might consider, although you will need even more remotes is to get Top and Tilt hydraulics for your 3pt hitch. Not that you need the tilt part, (you have tilt on the blade) but "TnT" is a great addition to the tractor for just about all types of grading and as long as your adding remotes, might as well add a few more.:D

When you get a chance, post some pictures, we all love pictures.
One last thing, how much did you have to pay for it? I just priced out an RBT3584 for my smaller tractor and it was about $2500 with no hydraulics.

Thanks for the responces. This web site is great and that is in large part because of the people who use it.

I have two remotes that I installed last year for way to much money. Everything is factory and that is helpful when you sleep at night. As I said in my first thread, Land Pride has a hydraulic " switch " so I can use one spool to do two functions with the flip of the hydraulic switch.

I paid $1,000.00 with 3 to 5 cords of wood/rounds to sweetin the deal as my offer was a bit less than what he was asking. I have yet to pick up the wood so I'm not sure how much wood there is. I burn about four cords of wood a year to heat my home so when he offered the wood I bit and the deal was sealed.

As for the weight, the numbers I spyed on Land Prides site may have been without the rams included.

I intend to add pictures because I enjoy seeing them two. Here is old blue. She's a 59 Ford F-600 with a Y block motor/2 wheel drive and she has moved many tons of the white stuff

Wow, that is a GREAT price on that blade. Maybe get 2 of those valves from Land Pride.

Old blue looks great, looks like you get a little bit of snow there. I have a 59 F600 with a dump flat bed. The 292 died a few years ago and we put a 368 Lincoln engine into it. Makes for a nice improvement.

Well the blade was brought home today to her new home. It has the same hyd. quick disconnects as my two remotes have so I can save a week or two worth of grocery's. It looks to have been sitting in the sun a bit as the hydro lines show some minor checking at the bends. Sitting next to the tractor it appears to be a very good match. It is a very well built North America unit.

I now undrerstand what you are talking about Mtn view adding two hyd. ( Northern Tool ) calls them selector valves. I'll try to get some pic's going. I have no pic's of the tractor but I have used many of the ideas from this wed site to make a better tractor. I hope I can add to this family of ideas, but for now I'll add a bit more eye candy.

Here is some pics of the new blade and some of an older blade I was using on a 1953 Case 300. The old blade is built and I was able to go 4-ways with it by ajusting the right side link. It will be nice to run the new blade with the hyd's as the old one was all manual. I'll need to add a selector valve as the new blade is a three way and I only have two remotes for the back.
