Has anyone ever converted a Land Pride RB0548 to be QH compatible?
I know the options with Pat's and similar aids, but wonder what thoughts are about making this little blade (it's my brother's) truly QH compatible for his B7100. The PO got it, instead of the RB15 series.. =(
Seems like a few, non-perfect solutions...
-Extra long pins. Might bend. Could add gussets to them, I suppose. Then again, would 17hp really bend them?
-spacer block. Could mfg a steel block of the right size and thread it thru. Bolt from the implement into the spacer, then spin the pin into it. Loctite would probably be a good idea. Could be a piece of box tubing cut to length, and use bolts/nuts instead of tapping a thru-hole.
-weld. Weld extensions to simply make the thing wider.
-trade it in on an RB1560 or equivalent.
Not sure about the top-link hole location yet. Manual seems to show it might be close to the 15" requirement. If a second hole needs to be drilled, that's no biggy.
Just curious if i'm missing something.
