For my new years resolution I donated my time and equipment to shape up our roads (pull the shoulders) that are made of asphalt millings. We had a big build up on the shoulder of loose material and ruts showing up so I decided to pull the shoulder. I had help with a neighbor that had a BX and box blade to spread out the windrow, but I also used my loader bucket to flatten things too (curled up and pushing in float). I did about a miles worth in 2 hours.
I probably could have used a bigger blade :confused3::thumbsup:, but this RBT3584 was a dream to work with:cool2:. Once I got the blade pitch set for proper crown and elevation set correctly is cut through the millings easily taking out the washboard with no problems. With the help we did the mile of shouldering in about 2 hours.
Even though I was carrying a half blade full of millings I still had plenty of power. Whats funny I found myself working in mid range at about 1800 rpm. Sweet.
One thing I do need to do is get an adjustable restrictor for the tilt line as it is very touchy now. Any suggestions?
I did not have my camera with me so I will try and get some shots tomorrow.
PS - Thanks Brian
