Land Pride Rear blade customized

The last snow we had I broke my cheap KK blade. It broke a weld on the pivot point and twisted the frame. not worth the effort.
I bought a new heavyer blade and put my hyd cylinder on this one to. I had to used linkage to make it work this time around.

I like the set up you have.

I noticed parts are painted black and parts are painted Landpride tan. Did you fabricate that linkage yourself? Do you have a "before" picture so we can see what it originally looked like?

Re: Land Pride Rear blade customized

I painted the linkage parts with a black spray paint and the LP paint was done with a brush. Black easyer and quicker to.
I made all the parts for the linkage and used 1" pins for pivot points. I all so had to lower the bottom pins 6" so my 4400 would lift it high enough. this blade is meant for a bigger tractor. No before pic's.

Re: Land Pride Rear blade customized

When you have it in full swing how close does it come to touching your rear tire? Nice job on adding the hydraulics.

It will not hit the tire. Before I lowered the bottom pins I could swing it 360 degrees, it cleared 8" to 10"

Dana, looks like you are talented in the metal working skills as well as the woodworking. Nice outfit. Adding top and tilt , would put you in the cat bird seat. I have a hilly driveway (gravel) to maintain...and try to keep it crowned in the middle, sloping off to an inside ditch. I have to manually adjust my drawbar to get the right angle that I need for controlling the water. I dream of the hydraulic links, and lift arms. Maybe someday.

Re: Land Pride Rear blade customized

I was wondering about tilt.

I have the materials and parts for making a dozer blade for my skid steer. It has two remotes, one wide open high flow and the other, foot operated low flow.

What has kept me from making the dozer attachment is I haven't figured out how to do tilt and twist with just one remote, the low flow one. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I agree with you on his installation. It does look like it's done right and well.
