First off names Ed, ive been chassing my tail on this free mower a bud gave me. Im having carb issues so far motor rpms are fine until i engage the blades. It seems to just not want to run. bogs down on small grass.

I looked online to look for a replacment motor and carb and cant find any info on the motor or help any where.

The p/n on the owners manuel is 826-386c I think it s a honda. thanks for your help

It could be the motor is just getting tired, and lacks the power to spin the blades? or it could be a carb out of adjustment.

IS there any other way you can put a load on the motor and see how it acts? like hook to a lawn roller and go up a grade?

Not familiar with the mower or what motor it may have. But that all changes year to year, and was probably offered with a few different engines anyway. You need to look at the motor itself and find a nameplate for the motor. That should tell you what you need to know about finding a replacement or parts.

Also wouldnt hurt to do a compression check on the motor. Especially if it bogs down by going up a grade with a roller too.

If everything otherwise runs fine except when the blades are powered, I'd look there. Unhook the drive belt. Make sure all the spindles and idlers spin freely and dont have bad bearings. It dont sound like a engine problem you are having.

What he said - plus one thing more: when you have the belt load off, engage the belt clutch for a moment to make sure that's not shorting out and killing the engine, assuming it's an electric clutch like mine has.. Just my :2cents:

If it's a twin cylinder i would check the coils. I had a gen set that ran fine until i added a load. Just pull one plug wire and see what it does. From what I understand it's a common problem with motors. and it's an easy test.
