I fabricated these rollers a while ago now and they have work Very well. The rolls are completely filled wih concrete and are VERY heavey ( think about a thousand lbs each ) They mold to the contour of the land quite well. Being very heavey allows them to drive anything smaller than a 4" oak stump right down in the ground :)D just kidding ).I made this set of rollers several years ago and have used them aot since then.

The drum stock is a old 3 section oat roller. I disassembled the oat roller and used the 3 rolls ( filled with concrete ). The second picture shows how i attached the rear rolls to the front one.... I just pinned them on to the rear cross bar of the front roll ... a loose pin connection to give maximun flexibility

Impressive! I'll bet there's some "black smoke" from your tractor when you come to a small rise in the field!

Pretty slick, too -- no doubt, with the rear rollers able to follow the contours of the ground you're workin'.

Thanks for sharin'.

john
the pics show a closer view of the rear roller hookup

Geeez I should give this thing a coat of paint. I've been using it for years now and never realized how bad it looked
