Landini 10000 gears difficult to change

Hi, It seems that when the Gearbox oil is getting hot, it is difficult to get the gears change from 1st to 2nd 3rd and 4th. You have to fiddle realy hard with the gear lever to get it out of gear. When it is out it is not a problem to put it in another gear. The gearbox oil level is on its high mark.
The high medium and low range is fine, no problem there.
Must I try other gearbox oil.
Any suggestions.

Any chance your clutch free play is gone? Does the clutch pedal move an inch or so before it gets harder to push down?

I had a look at the pedal freeplay, but the play is minimal. Even when the engine is not running the gears are easy to put in , but hard to get out. I dont know if its got someting to do with the linkage from the gearlever to the selector inside the gearbox.
