Landmannｮ 38" Two Drawer Vertical Gas Smoker

The lovely wife bought us the Landmannｮ 38" Two Drawer Vertical Gas Smoker for Christmas. It looks like a great product with very good reviews and thought I would ask opinions on it before I get rolling. This particular model is a propane heated unit. One can also get the standard wood fired or electric fired, all of which I have friends that have one or the other.

As I unpacked the unit and inspected it, I'm a bit disappointed in that a particular weld point didn't hold up and will need to be repaired before I even get started.

Any thoughts?

Take it back to the store. Ask for a swap. Inspect new one before taking home.
