Hi,

I have a Landpride FD1560 finishing mower and generally it works fine with the exception of the Kevlar V-Belt. The belt shreds after about 8 to 10 hours of use. The grass we cut is generally no more that 3 to 4 inches tall.

The mower is maintained and greased regularly. Is this normal is does some adjustment need to be made?

Thanks very much

This is certainly not normal, you mower must have either bad bearings in the idlers or main hubs. Check the belt tension and make certain all the pulleys are on the same plane (level). If you don't have the owners manual you can download one off the website for Land Pride. Make sure the belt routing is proper and be sure your blades are balanced and the proper length. Hope you find out your problem! The Kevlar belt is very sturdy and should give long life, also make sure your replacement belt is actually Kevlar and not just a cheaper replacement.
