I am loving my hrl3578. For what I am doing, I can't imagine not having the hydraulic scarifier bar.

But I need to come up with a decent source for the teeth. Here's a pic of mine after only a few hours of what I consider pretty easy work in sort dirt, but with a few rocks in it. I expected them to hold up better, can't imagine what they would have looked like used on a hard packed road....

Is the the correct part number: 820-050C

I read some threads about how to replace them, am sort of confused. Some had luck peening the dimple, some used a press, some folks welded them on. Is replacing them that tough?

I stopped by my closest dealer a couple days and they say they only sell the wide replacement tip, which has a wide flare at the tip. They say that is all LP sells now.

Funny that I just bought the $4k BB recently and already they are telling me certain replacement parts are not available any longer. I need to find some dealer with the standard 820 -050c part still in stock if it has been superceded with the wide tip.

I would try an industrial tractor dealer vs an AG type dealer. Good teeth are not going to be cheap either.

sort of an update. My local dealers claimed LP was no longer making/selling the narrow tip. I saw both tips listed on Messicks so I called Land Pride directly and they said they still sell both the narrow and wide tips, although the wide ones are more popular.

I am pretty unimpressed with the narrow tips that came with my hrl3578 (started wearing in hours, a tip broke off the first day). I bought a wide one at my local dealer and it actually looks more robust at the end.

I am leaning towards replacing the narrow tips on my BB with wide ones as they need replacing. Was going to grab some narrows if they were discontinued so I'd have options later, but since both are still available I think I'll try some wides and then decide.

Still loving the hydraulic scarifier bar and the kind of all purpose way I use my BB would be impossible without it. And the hydraulic top link is essential too for me. And tilt is nice.

The only disadvantage (other than price) of the hrl3578 is it doesn't lend itself as easily to a QH. In fact, Land Pride does not call it quick hitch compatible.
