Has anyone used the landpride primary seeder for overseeding their lawn or pasture? I've used their overseeder unit (OS1548 I believe) in the past with great results. Problem is the place I rented from does not carry the overseeder anymore. They do have the primary seeder for rent which they claim local farmers and golf courses have used for overseeding. I have about 1 acre of lawn that I need to overseed. I do have a spike harrow but afraid it will pull up the rocks and end up dragging clumps of grass around. When I put the new lawn in 2 years ago my landscape rake kept popping the rocks to the surface. I ended up renting a Harley take to prep with. I'm looking to overseed with the new variety of turf type tall fescue. Looks more like Ky bluegrass but survives much better in soil that is not favorable and withstands drought better. I can also rent a 3pt plugger but have heard of mixed results with this method. The landpride seeder is the same price to rent.
