Looking at either a Landpride RCR1884 or RCF2084 Rotary Cutter. Best I can tell is only difference is the 20 series has a smooth top. However, specs says it weighs maybe 200 pounds more. Also, I'm told the underside of the 20 is not smooth but the structure is exposed which may not cut as well in wet material.

Anyone have a recommendation on these?

I have a new 6ft.Landpride,can't remember the model # right now but if I remember correct when researching the heavier ones were a fabricated deck(welded) and the lighter ones were pressed deck.I only have about 40 hours one mine so far, dealer recommended the slip clutch on this size BH.

According to manf. specs, both are fully welded decks. The 2084 deck depth is deeper, but I suppose that is due to the structure being underneath (if this information is accurate.). With either one, I plan for slip clutch and dual tail wheels.

Personally, I prefer a deck with a smooth underside, which means fewer places for cut material to accumulate and bog up.
