I was on the Landpride website and noticed they apparently make snowblowers now.

Unless I am mistaken, this is a newer product for them. Anyone know if they are any good?

I'm in the market for a 3 PT blower and so far I have been looking at a 52" Pronovost ($2,300 if I remember right) and a 54" Rad-Bervac ($2,400).

Yes, this is a new product for 2011...

I wouldn't be scared of Land Pride, their stuff is usually pretty darn good.

I just checked into the new LandPride blowers. My understanding is that they are expected to start shipping in September. I'm in a toss-up at the moment between the LP and the Ber-Vac in the 74" class - pricing is about the same, so I'm waiting a bit to see what the construction on the LP looks like. I wish they'd post some more details on the LP site.

what are you getting for pricing in your area. I found them high ended up getting a used one. I wish I could save cheap but compared to new it was.

I'm seeing $3,800 - $4,000 for 74" with hydraulic chute and rotate controls as well as hoses and other misc.

Will have to check my notes but that seems to be the high end of the ball park.

I did find one quote out of the ball park.

Got a used wood for 2300, which i bet went new way back when for 1k and change. I think prices have shot up in the last five years but I have know idea if that is really the case.

I've been sniffing around on the inet. Right now, the lowest new I've seen is around $1,600 for a bare-bones, manual adjust, typically 60" blower. Highest seems to be around $6k for a 72"-84" with hydraulic controls. It seems to get a little crazy when you move to dual augers and wider widths.

I've seen a few "well loved" used units out there between $1k-$2k, but so far nothing reasonably local.

I'm still searching - any pointers are most welcome.

As the season gets closer, perhaps we'll start seeing a few more data points. I know that here in the Northeast a number of people are still rattled from last winter - that will likely drive demand (and price) a bit as people start thinking "snow."

I'd love to find a new 74" with hydraulic controls set-up and delivered for about $3k. It would be extra special if it was personally installed by the tooth fairy... :) (I won't hold my breath).

The last quote was with hydr, not sure if the other quote were with or without hdro.

It makes it hard to justify this purchase, getting it used helped.

You should also ask Ken Sweet as he is a site sponsor in good standing how much a smaller Allied Farm King snow caster would cost from him shipped to you, you just might save on sales tax too.
