So I needed both.I need a backhoes what I need with a thumb.

You could compare a box blade and a straight rear blade but not a landscape rake. The rake is just that, it rakes a bit of material from side to side but it wont dig into the ground very much or move dirt as it is just designed for the dirt to flow between the teeth of the rake.

If you need a box blade, I would look out for used. There are tons of them setting around unused and in very good to almost new condition at likely half of the new price.

You missed the other point. Powered rake or not?

A powered rake is like comparing a hand (carpenters) plane to an electric one.

A lot of it gets down to how much money you can or want to spend, and what conditions are like in your particular environment.

A landscaping rake can level soil as can a box blade. If that is the goal, my preference would be the box blade. But we need more info on what you need to give you good advice.
