Does anyone have any experience with TSC CountyLine Landscape rakes?

They are inexspensive, and they bend easy. They are fine for light duty work, but I twisted one up good not paying attention one day.

Had a 72" Rake and a 72" BB from TSC, they were on an old Oliver Super 55. I was doing about a 200' landscaping wall and was digging out the area for footing stones. Caught the BB on a bolder or, and bent the frame of the BB.Although the first passes were quite aggressive, I was surprised that it bent.I guess they are ok if the work that your doing is light to moderate. But for heavy almost daily tasks I would go with Land Pride or Woods. I now like the idea of pay more now and have it a long time.

You cant go wrong with woods & landpride when it comes to implements. They cost more but you see where those extra dollars have gone when you start working them. They both build equipment made for the long haul.

I hope I am right here, but check out the posts by GIJoe. He picked up a Fred Cain for not a whole lot of money that really looked nice. Finding a dealer may be a problem but then it may not be, it is worth a look.

Duddd, just looked down at the bottom of the page and the Fred Cain thread is first on the list of similar threads.

The problem with a TSC or other cheap rake is they are too light and aren't effective because of it. I have an eight foot heavy Woods rake and love it. Get a wide one.
Also on the cheap rakes is a problem with bending tines under hard use.

Check the horsepower ratings of the TSC stuff. Last I knew, most of it was rated for 30 hp or so. Many years ago, I started out with a TSC scraper blade. I was a frequent customer at the local weld shop. Then I bouht a Woods blade and it hasn't broken in the tens years I've had it.

Now that I have more appropriate equipment (Woods, Bush Hog), if I hit something that doesn't want to move, the tractor tires slip until I hit the clutch.
