I was just in Las Vegas last month. I wish I could go back. The wife and I stayed at the Venetian. It is a really beautiful place.

I ran a crew in the early eighties in Vegas, what a place, almost became addicted to Hold'em. Once took I 15 from Vegas to Riverside California and made it in three hours. Did I mention I was driving a Courier pick up and stopped once for gas?

If you're in Phoenix you'll only be two hours via I 10 from Muhammad and crew in Tucson. There's a Harvey Lacey in Peoria (my dad). He's quite a fella. I've known him all my life. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif And if you go north to the Verde Valley you'll be where I was born and mostly raised as a kid.

My sister is out there right now. I just got an e-mail from here. She said it was 100 degrees yesterday.....but it's a dry heat........YEAH, RIGHT!! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I've got a friend that lives in Phoenix, but he doesn't do tractors. He is single however. Do you want to hit the party scene while out there?? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I could probably hook you up with him. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sorry Gary ! My party days are over, long long time ago. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Besides it would be embarassing to have my son answer a call for a roudy old man, sic his dog on me , throw the cuffs on me, and haul his own father off to jail /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh, that's O.K. Frank.

My friend moved out there about a year ago, and he hasn't even played golf yet! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I think the new job keeps him pretty busy, which in turn, probably makes him pretty boring to boot! I wouldn't want to do that to you on your vacation!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I went to Vegas for the first time last year. It was with the National Guard believe it or not! It was a WMD exercise with the Army, Air Force and Marines. Out of a whole week I got about 8 hours of sight seeing time. I scoped out the best places on the strip and told my wife we would be going there for vacation soon and we did last month. For those that think there is nothing to do there but gamble, you would be surprized. We did a little but were busy with a lot of other things.

Hey Frank,
Have a ball. We just got back from a trip out west. First we flew to Portland, Or. to visit my son and his family. Then, we flew to Las Vagas for four days. Finally we drove up to Lake Tahoe to finish out the trip.
It was all the best vacation we ever had. I hope you win some of the money I lost.

Frank, we've only been to Las Vegas once and stayed in the RV park at Sams Town, end of September and first of October '91. I have no idea what it's like now, but back then they had a buffet that was very good anytime, but the seafood buffet on Friday evenings was GREAT!

BIRD: we visited SAM TOWN last year(did not stay there) and we were impressed with the way it was renovated from the first time we saw it back in 93, so we decide to stay there this time. will have to forgo the Friday seafood tho, as we will be in phoenix from friday nite till monday morning.

Frank, I am leaving Az about the same time headed to Ohio. I will wave when we meet. They need a "hauling" page here. I could haul a small tractor. I know about the one on 'yesterdays tractors'.

Garry, you can have the humid and I'll take the dry anyday. After building a couple of homes in Maine, I quickly realized that 85 deg. and 95% humidity was 100 times worse then 100 deg and 30% humidity. On the otherhand my sister in law is leaving Vegas and cannot wait to live in Reno. It may be dry, it may be hot, but the winds in Vegas kick up dust and it gets miserable.

Sorry guys but of all the places in this beautiful country I have lived/visited I'd have to say San Diego, California is tops.
I truly miss those 10 wonderful years I spent there.
Jmho.
