I was quite impressed finding hand grip mounted lasers for automatic pistols. Any difference in Red or Green?

Also. Wouldn't it be cool to have an LED flashlight in the OTHER grip? I mean, one LED without reflector, like on an I-phone would be good enough in total darkness. Apparently, there is no such thing. Yet.

I was reading all kinds reports about cops accidentally shooting people with sidearm mounted flashlights. One cop was seen using this light to help someone find a drivers license or keys.

I used to go for nighttime walks, all the time. My neighbor has a guy that works for him, that claims his teenage son was dragged off of his bike by a coyote, so I got to say, I'm a little spooked. Has anyone ever heard of such an attack? Sounds a little far fetched.

Anyway, I figure you can't hit what you can't see. A laser, flashlight combo, seems perfect.

Green vs. Red... in the end personal preference and some have color blindness that could be a factor. For me it's green hands down. I see it better in the day. Night doesn't make a difference to me. I have the Crimson Trace on my MP Shield 9mm and love it! A little LED bright white would be cool too.

Yes it was particularly the Crimson Trace, I was looking at. Nice stuff. Are there colored glasses one can wear during the day that enhance either the red or green laser?

I kind of lost interest in guns, when our government declared war on anything parkarized, with folding stock or large mag capacity, so I never got into laser sights, which were just evolving. I just know, I have tried to use my red laser Stanley Measuring doo-dad during the day, and it's useless.

Good question about colored (sunglass shades) lens for day viewing. Might have to experiment. I will guess that you will be quite happy with the CT green on your handgun. Ergonomics wonderful and it doesn't change the slimness for concealed carry/holster concerns. You do need to check your holster is compatible. I bought a IWB holster that is compatible with CT.

Green is much easier to see during day light. At night should not make a difference.

RE glasses.... wait sorry mr bad guy stop. I have to find my special gun goggles so I can see the laser before I shoot you....

I have a couple of Crimson Trace lasers and they are great! I would like to have a flashlight on a pistol but the only problem I have found is trying to holster it. I carry concealed and it's hard to find a comfortable holster that is made for a pistol with a flashlight. Currently I have an IWB (in the wasteband) holster and I can't imagine trying to stuff a flashlight in there too but it would be nice to have that option.

Someone makes such a thing, but I can't remember who for sure. As I recall, its called the curve or something like that. It has both a laser and a light on it. As I recall its maybe a Tarus and its a pocket gun that is built so it doesn't need a holster.

There are quite a few laser light combos on the market. I have this one, it comes in quite a few models to fit various pistols and can be carried quite easily in a pocket/belt holster. Just search "pistol holster for laser light".

Once I saw the Crimson, I was kind of convinced that, that is the only way to go. But I guess, If I am that spooked, I am not carrying my weapon in a holster anyway!

I am curious. Many of the laser lights clearly go under the weapon but are rail mounted. I have never seen a rail on the bottom of a weapon. Not the various Uzis, MP5s or any assault rifle or pistol I have ever used had a rail on the bottom.

Many new pistols except the smallest ones have a picatinny rail under them. Most people find the green lasers easier to spot in daylight as the eye's have a peak at the green spectrum.
