I got a quote on a 4110 with 52 hours on it to which they will
add a new 410 loader and a new 46 backhoe and R4 tires for $18,360
which I think is pretty good (includes ballast box, tall folding ROPS,
power beyond). I like the dealer and after walking
around the lot and looking in at the shop I think it's professionally
run and orderly.

Are there things about the 4110 I should know? Little oddities
I should check for before they deliver it? They will do 50 hour
service and clean it up nice. I told the salesman I would let him
know Monday morning if I wanted to take the offer or not.

I thought maybe I'd ask him to toss in a I-Match. Can't hurt to ask.

I haven't been able to actually use the 410 or the 56 because no
one has a tractor with either of these anywhere near me.

Thanks for you opinions,
Cliff

I can't comment on the 4110 itself - maybe someone will - but I think you are looking at the right things with the dealer - that will go a long way to increasing the satisfaction of your purchase. Best of luck to you if you decide to get it.

My Father-in-Law recently purchased a 4115 with the 410 loader. I really like the joystick location as compared to my Kubota. The only drawback for me is that I'm 6'3" and in order to curl the bucket I must move my right leg in order to operate the lever to the left( bucket curl up). Other than that it is a very responsive system and seems to have good power

One amusing note,

I asked my wife to drive the 4110 around a little. She drove down the lot and back, then drove in a circle to see the turning radius. I was noticing that the radius was OK, but not all that great. The salesman, on the other hand, was noticing that the tires were marking the dirt circle too well and that the rear wheels were both turning at the same speed. He ran over and stoped her, released the dif-lock and motioned her to try again. The turning radius was quite good after that.

I love my 4110, its a great machine. The only oddity I can think of is, why was the diff lock sticking? Maybe your wife stepped on it without knowing, and continued to move forward. Still, I'd make sure it doesn't stick before you take delivery. Are there bucket hooks already there? If you can't weld them on yourself, get them to do it for you, they are wonderful to have. How about tire ballast? Good luck with your decision.

Do I ask for two, one on each side, or one in the middle? What size hooks
are appropriate? The loader will be new so there are no hooks yet.

Ask a hundred different people about bucket hooks and you'll get a hundred different answers.

On my 4110, 410 loader, my preference is for a tow hook, the kind that goes on the front of a pickup truck, bolted on top and in the center, through a couple of reinforcing plates. The tow hook takes all kinds of rope and chain, plus I can tilt the bucket down and use the tip of the hook to grap the receiver of my various boat and utility trailers when I need to move one around the yard. I prefer bolting so that I can remove it if needed, temporarily or permanently.

I'm not sure if the 410 loader is available with the HD loader bucket but if it is, that would be a wise addition. The reinforced top section is much stiffer and more suited for hook installation. For my 420 loader I bolted grab hooks on as I wanted to be able to remove them if required.

In what situation would you want to remove the hook(s) from the loader?
