Heres a 72" Lastec Mower for front mount Machines :)
Lastec Articulator 325EF; Front Mount Wide Area Lawn Mower
It requires minimum 28 PTO horsepower. What is the PTO HP for the 1845?:
I bet you could make a simple mod to get it to work on a Power-Trac 1845?
I'm looking into this because I heard (I think from Charlie Ilff) that the standard 72" Mower for the 1845 Cuts uneven, and scalps under certain circumstances. We being landscapers want the best Cut possible for our customers. ;)

I doubt there'd be any problem running that with an 1845. The PTO is hydraulic only, so not rated in horsepower, but in flow and pressure. I've forgotten the numbers. It's easy to convert to horsepower from pressure and flow, but if you're seriously looking at that system, I'd ask Lastec what hydraulic motor they put on it and what pressure and flow it needs to run properly. You'll want to see that work before buying, too.
As I told you in a PM, my 72" mower is a rough-cut. I haven't seen the results with the finish mower, but any 72" fixed deck mower will be uneven and scalp if the turf isn't smooth. My old Jacobsen Turf Cat was only slightly better than the Power Trac on my lawn, which is not level or smooth enough for a 72" deck. I use a 48" Exmark on it instead.

I agree with Charlie. We have the 60" finish mower for our PT425 and it will scalp in bumpy areas, but does a very nice job on our mostly flat lawn.

Also, there is no provision for a bagger, so if your customers want things bagged, you may want to look at a different machine or you will have to customize something to work with the Power Trac. ;)

The nice thing about the Lastec, follows the ground as it says.
Couldn't you put a mulching kit on the Lastec? And for a bagger we'd have a John Deere,
Kubota, Woods or Grasshopper Front Mower with a Rear Collector.

Hey thats Another thing could you put a Lastec on Grasshopper or Woods Front Mower?
