Thank you again Travlitt and Randy. Your experience and knowledge gave me the courage and it turned out just fine. Got it back together last night, put the cutting deck back on this morning and cut the entire yard without a hitch.

I try to pass on what I can especially lawnmower wise. Been a busy day for me. Replaced the rear output shaft seal in the engine of a honda trx420, replace three spindles, and the deck belts on other rider. install a new fuel solenoid in a JD279, replace the chain adjuster in a tanaka chainsaw, and install a carb kit in a trimmer today.
