I am working on my mower decks this winter and I noticed that the spindles on my cub cadet and snapper z-turns were loose. I removed the spindle housing which has a grease fitting which I have been greasing religiously though out the cutting seasons 7 now.
My Rant here is that the people who assemble these parts use sealed bearings but they do not remove the inner seals which means that none of the grease gets to the bearings I popped off the seal and found that the bearings were dry even though the case was packed with grease. I have replaced these spindles but I disassembled the new ones and removed the inner seals with a pick. I also drilled out the relief hole and tapped it to install a spring loaded relief valve thought I would share this with you guys as this is such a great site for info
