LB 1914 Kioti - questions...

Hey, looking at a used 1914 Kioti does anyone know if you can attach a belly mount mower for finish mowing--current understanding is that you can for brush mowing - what is the difference?? I'm new to this so bear with me!
The dealer is trying to sell me a pull behind rear mower and I just don't think that I can get close enough for edging flower beds and trees...
Anyone know any known issues that the 1914's have? Any help here would be great! (can't find a used ck20 hst around here and can't afford a new one either!) Thanks!

Seems to me someone posted that there is a universal belly mower that can be put on the 1914, operated from the rear PTO shaft if I remember right. I don't know of any belly mount brush mower that can be belly mounted.

I personally would have no problem with a rear finish mower. If you buy one that is wider than the rear tires you can get up against foundations and trees etc. just fine. You only have to be careful of the turning with that length.

Haven't really heard of any "issues."

There is no "true" belly mower available. There is a mount as kiotijohn said but it is very unhandy. A 5ft rear mount should work fine and be cheaper. You just have to be more careful getting in "close". A rear mount also lets you get under things better too.

Got one: the 1914 with a five-foot finish mower and the combination does a wonderful job, including getting up close and personal to the edges of important things, though we do not have any flower beds but do mow to the edge of the pond and right next to trees and the garden, though.
