Got to play with the tractor today. What a labor saving device! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Derek, as for the orange snowblower, Dick said that is what he usually orders. However on an earlier order from his supplier he told them to send what they had because he couldn't wait for the color. BTW mine is 60" not 55" as I posted earlier.

Crown, after seeing price differences on tractors I assume snowblower prices may vary by region also. Up here they are around $1500 - $1900.

Bob I was looking at the picture of you new toy I mean tractor, I did notice one thing that concerns me, I am looking at your smoke stack and it looks like they turned it and put the little stub back on, if they did make sure you cover the stack if you leave it outside.
The factory tip does not have enouch bend in it to stop water from going right down it.
If we have a customer that wants the stack turned up we put the tip from a LK3054 on the stack.

Wallace Tractor & Equipment,

Fortunately it fits in my garage, but I don't know how long it may have sat outside at the dealer. I do know it sat out in at least one snow storm but who knows what else.

I notice the picture on the Kioti brochure has it in the horizontal position so am I to assume that is the correct way to install it?

What, if any, problems should I be concerned with?

Thank you

excesive water going down the stack and going into the cylinders also the water freezing.
A small amount won't kill it but water laying in the stack will eventually rot the muffler
I know you will burn the water out every time you run it but the couple of day it may sit sure doesn't help.
You can cut it square and put a flapper on it or spend about $25.00 for the LK3054 stack turn out.
The factory does show assembly with a horziontal muffler but that turns the loader all black.

I'll be seeing my dealer tomorrow so I guess it's either the flapper or the other top. Don't really want the blackened loader.

Thank you for your help

I have an LB1914 and turning the loader black is an understatement! Does not wash off, either, but I guess it makes the tractor look like it really did do all of the work it really did do.

I purchased an LB1914 TLB back in April and couldn't be happier with it. I adapted an old Fisher plow to hang off the 3PH, and it does a nice job moving snow. Not as nice as the blower, I admit, but the price was right: Free.
My stack is horizontal and does blacken the loader arms. That seems like a minor inconvenience to me.

Today while I was out, my dealer made a service call to make an adjustment on the blower. I left a note about the stack and told him to install a flapper or some other type of cap if he had one on his truck. He didn't have one with him so he repositioned it. If I can't live with the blackening I'll either reposition it with a cap myself or have them do it at the 50 hour service.

I saw a picture of a 1914 with the exhaust turned straight down. Muffler and all. I wonder if it would catch on brush and stuff. I might try it some day. For now, I have a black loader arm.
