I got a leak on coming from somewhere under the controls on the backhoe on my ck30. It looks like only 4 bolts to open up the metal plate covering the control area. However, the top bolds seems to have some kind of plastic washer holding the bolt. my concern is, if I take off these two bolts, how would I get the the thing back on ? I can't seem to get my hand very high up under the thing to start with, much less put what ever is holding the thing on. So the question is should I go ahead and take it off or wait for my dealer to deal with it? I am due for a service and my dealer can get to it in two weeks, but i was hoping it might be just a loose hose and fix it myself. but if I take it apart and can't put it back together, I will never hear the end of it.

Take it apart and if you can't put it back together take the cover with you to the dealer and let him do his job.
Don't worry about your pride it is cheaper to replace your pride than hydraulic fluid.:)

If i had to bet on your issue it is you will have to rebuild one of the spools. I had to do all 4 on my 2365 that works the hoe itself. Not the stabilizers yet. Kioi uses a plastic washer and a o ring to make the seal. The new one i got was just an o ring. They have made a new ring that has a little more girth to it so there is no need for the plastic washer that wears. What is happen if you have this will be very easy to tell. Take the cover off. Look around the spools. You will see where the o ring is actually starting to come up through the white plastic washer. If this is the case then you rebuild it. Make sure you get the new oring and not the old kit. The old one wears out quickly. Plan on about $15.00 a ring and i would do both spools for which ever action that is bad. So you will need 2 o rings. . Rebuilding is easy. Take the handle off and pull the allen sets that hold the spol in and pull it strait up. Repalce the oring and make sure the assembly is clean and reassemble. Problem solved
