Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but looking for some help/insight on an issue I have with the Walvoil valve on my BH. I noticed oil leaking from around the base of the lever for one of the stabilizer legs. There is a plastic “cap” that seems to have a spring behind it and oil...

I think I may have found enough info now to have a better idea of what is the issue. The leak is coming out around the valve lever for the left stabilizer leg. I’m wondering if I take off the “lever pivot box” is the spool going to come shooting out?

Like you I have never had this unit apart and I am just guessing but from the drawings it looks like the spring is a centering spring so that the spool returns to a neutral position.

I would guess that when you remove the the pivot box this spring does not have much if any compression on it.

as you’re removing the box un-tighten the fasteners in an alternating pattern to see if the pivot box becomes loose. If it does then the spring is not compressed.
