Hey guys! Brand new to site. 500 hours. Just noticed a pretty bad leak. Replace seal or other fix?

:welcome: to TBN

Below this thread, there are some hits of other threads covering the leaking seal.

As some others do, I just crack the dip-stick plug on the axle so when the oil heats up from use then the axle can vent and doesn't leak at the seal or leaks less.

I understand they are not difficult to change out, but I'm thinking if not vented then the new one will leak after a short time too.

Thank you all for the reply. I need to change the axle oil anyway. I'll just make sure to loosen the dipstick!
